Oil Creek Fire now 100% contained

Fire officials are now calling the Oil Creek Fire near Newcastle, Wyoming 100% contained.  The fire is estimated at 62,318 acres.   There are still 76 personnel, one dozer, one water tender and six engines on the scene of the fire, along with one type 3 helicopter.  Active demobilization is in progress.  The Weston County Sheriff lifted all Level 1 pre-evacuation restrictions on roads inside the fire area as of 5:00pm Monday.  Crews report good progress made Monday.  Crews resonded to an initial attack near the NE second of the fire Monday night and were successful in putting it out.  They plan to continue with mop-up, patrol and rehab operations Tuedsay, with hand crews working in the NW table and Red Creek and engines continuing to work around structures in Oil Creek.  Fire officials say the potential for new and active burning fires is high.
