Troopers are investigating after two fatal crashes over the weekend, one off of Camp Crook Road northwest of Belle Fourche and the other on Interstate 90 in Wyoming. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 45–year–old Lawrence Ozuna of Belle Fourche was killed after the Chevrolet Impala he was driving went out of control after cresting a hill on Camp Crook Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Two others were seriously injured. Police say alcohol was a factor in that crash.
Now the Wyoming Highway Patrol says a 23–year–old woman was killed in a rollover accident early Saturday morning on Interstate 90 near the Wyoming Port of Entry. Troopers say Sarah Van Woerkom, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died after the car she was riding in went out of control and flipped. Reports show the car's driver, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicular homicide after voluntarily giving a roadside sobriety test.
