Post 320 defeats Titans in 9 inning game

Including their away game against Post 22, the post 320 Stars have been on the road for the past two and a half weeks.  Friday night, the Stars wrapped up that marathon in a 9 inning contest against the Sturgis Titans.

Post 33 was trying to put together a solid strategy for beating the Stars but early on the Stars did the work for them.  Bottom of the first, Sturgis is already up 2-0 with the bases loaded when Trey Savage issues ball four to David Reinhardt. Jhett Cihak scores to make it 3-0.  After a pitching change, Eric Koser comes in and gets Nate Brandt to line into the double play as Reinhardt gets caught off of first base.  Top of the second inning, Post 320's Matt Johnson gets things going with the sharp single to the opposite field.  The next batter is Ben Dingus and shoots the off speed pitch into left to give the Stars runners on first and second.  After a sacrifice bunt by Taylor Klapperich, Tanner Feterl steps to the dish and hammers this pitch into left field. Johnson comes around to score to cut the lead to 3-1.  Post 320 goes on to take the nine-inning contest 13-to-9.
