McLain says he's been acting and re-enacting for 20-some years now, starting with a Wild West show in Custer. But he says he's so busy portraying General Custer now that the Wild West show has faded away.

McLain says he finds a good spot on the street and tries to get people to stop. He hands out tourism information and answers questions, not to mention having his photo taken thousands of times.
