Candy Store a real "treat" in Custer
Friday, 15 June 2012 16:01
A popular candy store in Custer known for its homemade truffles is proving to be a candy land that tourists and locals don't pass up.  Lee Lampert opened up the Custer County Candy Company in 2001, and it has been a treat for folks ever since.

The Candy Company makes most of its own candy from truffles to nut clusters, caramels and fudge.  But Lampert says there is something for all ages that will surely draw you in.  Lampert says, "Because they like chocolate, isn't that why you, and candy, and I can't really say, a lot of people like to bring their kids in, but actually I think the adults have more fun."  Lampert says during this time of year her best sellers are toffee and, of course, their homemade truffles.
