CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) _ A wildfire that burned 2,800 acres in Guernsey State Park is mostly out but a few spots within the fire perimeter are still burning.
Fire managers say small plumes of smoke may be visible Thursday and over the next few days.
Investigators have determined that the fire was human caused. Platte County Undersheriff Grady Winders has declined to comment, saying the investigation continues.
Federal authorities plan to transfer management of the fire to Platte County firefighters by the evening. It's 95 percent contained.
The fire began Saturday and forced hundreds of campers and others to be evacuated from the park. It destroyed one private cabin.
