Golden Coyote continues exercises
Thursday, 14 June 2012 12:08
Troops took to the rolling terrain as Golden Coyote exercises continued with the National Guard.  Thursday afternoon, soldiers geared up with paintball guns and masks to practice a mock attack in a small village.

Although it's some of the best training they can get to prepare for combat, some say it still doesn't quite compare to the real thing.  Sgt. Andrew Lowry says, "All experience, I mean I'm not here to say it was bad it was fantastic, troops got some good training out of it. The only thing we'll bring up, I'm sure other people will bring up too, is the momentum. The momentum kills, and if you don't have momentum, you're going to die."   The soldiers in the exercise are actually based in Arizona.  Troops from around the globe are taking part in Golden Coyote exercises, as they continue through this week and next.
