MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL, S.D. (AP) _ Some 90 people are expected to become U.S. citizens Thursday at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
The U.S. District Court of South Dakota is holding a naturalization ceremony at the monument's amphitheater at 2 p.m. Thursday. It's sponsored by the Mount Rushmore Society.
The keynote speaker will be Qusi Al-Haj, the west river regional director for Sen. John Thune's office. He came to America in 1979 and has lived here ever since, except for three years in which he served in the Jordanian military.
More than 80 members of the Dakota Choral Union will perform.
