| Crews respond to lightning caused fire just south of Black Hawk |

Crews are on the scene of a fire Wednesday afternoon on private property just one and a half miles south of Black Hawk. Federal, state and local crews responded to the scene of the fire, which they say was started by lightning. The fire near Black Hawk was reported just around noon Wednesday. Multiple crews responded to the scene with seven fire engines and one hand crew with another hand crew and state dozer on the way. The fire is estimated at a little over seven acres South Dakota Wildland Fire is leading the effort to keep the fire contained. Authorities say no structures are at risk. Crews are working to extinguish and remove burning material near control lines and mopping up hot spots. They'll patrol and monitor the area over the next several days.
