| PIERRE, S.D. (AP) _ A South Dakota House panel has decided to table a bill that would have created a ``hope card'' in an effort to expedite the process of checking to see if a protective order is on file. A hope card would measure about the size of a credit card and would include the respondent's identity and details such as the order's issue and expiration dates and case number. The legislation did not have a fiscal note on how much the program would cost the state, though, so the House Judiciary committee decided Monday to table it until 2013. Rep. Patricia Stricherz, a Madison Republican and the bill's primary sponsor, says she will make sure funding is in place when she brings it before the panel next year. .
