Ashley Parker, the Media Relations manager for the organization, is touring several technical schools in South Dakota, along with several high schools. She says the graduation rate for students taking technical classes is 97 percent. Parker says, "So nationally, we're really putting out the word that career and technical education prepares students for careers beyond high school and college whether or not you decided to go into a technical field." Parker visited classrooms at Rapid City Stevens and Central high schools on Thursday as well. -Al Van Zee |
