3 remain in running for Chadron State coaching job
Thursday, 02 February 2012 12:25
Filling the coaching position for one area college could leave a gap in another in the next couple weeks as Chadron State continues to search for the successor to Bill O'Boyle. The field has been narrowed to three to take over as the head coach of the Eagles' football program, and among those finalists is Black Hills State head coach Jay Long.

Former University of Nebraska-Omaha assistant coach Brad McCaslin is also in the running for the post. McCaslin had been at UNO since 1997 until the team discontinued its football program last year.

The third finalist could keep the head coaching mantle in the family. Chris Stein has been the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at Chadron State since 2004.

All three candidates are slated for on-campus interviews this week.
