The ride for Rapid City Regional Airport passengers might be getting a little easier especially if they're heading south. The airport announced that United Airlines will start running non-stop flights to Houston this summer. The new seasonal service will make for easier connections to the Southeast United States, as well as Mexico and South America. RC Regional Airport Director Cameron Humphres says, "This gives us two-flight connections to a lot of those, so you can get same day connections into Tampa and Orlando, down into Monterey Mexico, and New Orleans. Those are all great destinations I think people will really enjoy." Humphres says the new route will also boost the Rapid City economy through tourism and the booming energy market in Houston.
