He has been promising cuts, and Friday afternoon Rapid City's superintendent of schools will reveal what he believes needs to go in order to balance the district's budget. Many school districts across the state have been wrestling with what to cut to keep numbers in the black. Rapid's school district is expected to cut $4 to 5 million, which could result in the loss of up to 30 jobs. Last year the district got creative and increased class sizes at the elementary level to reduce some of the pain from funding losses.
