Local, state and federal fire agencies were called on to fight a wildfire in the Southern Hills Monday afternoon.

State wildland fire officials say those crews made good progress on the Line Creek Fire near Dewey which is located about 15 miles northeast of Hot Springs.

The fire is burning timber and grass on private land.

Officials say it's scorched about 300 acres and is 20 percent contained.

Personnel will stay on scene and continue to work.
