The people who are trying to stop the proposed Keystone XL pipeline received help from a prominent ally Thursday.   Actress Daryl Hannah paid a visit to the Pine Ridge Reservation, where she visited with Native leaders and fellow pipeline opponents such as Alex and Debra White Plume.  The meeting also brought out others opposed to the pipeline, such as ranchers whose property lies along the path of the proposed project.  Hannah says the pipeline carrying crude oil from the tar sands area of Alberta not only encourages the ravaging of the environment in Canada, but endangers the environment along the path of pipeline.  Daryl Hannah says, "It's incredibly dangerous to our food security, to our water security in this country. And it's not going to have any affect on the price of gasoline because the fuel, once it get processed on the Gulf of Mexico is going to go onto the open market."  In August, Hannah was arrested in Washington D.C. during a pipeline protest outside the White House.  Supporters of the Keystone XL say it would create jobs and lessen America's dependence on oil from the Middle East.
