| Rapid City teacher wins Milken Award |

Dakota Middle School 7th grade teacher Nicole Keegan was surprised with a Milken Family Foundation National Educator award at a school assembly Monday morning. Along with the honor, Keegan receives a $25,000 cash award. Keegan has been a teacher at Dakota for 10 years and has served as a teacher mentor for new staff members for the past five years. Today's award was presented by S.D. Secretary of Education Dr. Melody Schopp and Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Family Foundation.
