BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ A monthly analysis by The Associated Press
shows that economic stress remains low in the Dakotas.
North Dakota's economy is being fueled by a booming oil industry
and by good agriculture markets. The state has been the least
stressed since the recession began in December 2007.
In May, Nebraska and South Dakota followed on the list of
least-stressed states. Nevada had the nation's highest level of
stress.
The list of 20 least economically stressed counties included the
North Dakota counties of Ward, Burleigh, Morton, Cass and Grand
Forks, and the South Dakota counties of Brown and Brookings.
