Thursday, 30 June 2011 15:33
He's peddling his way across the United States to raise awareness and support for combat wounded veterans and their families.  Scot King is on a journey to 48 states to collect a flag from each capital city.

The "Remember the Wounded Ride" is a two-year trek for King, who started in Salem, Oregon on May 7th and will end in Washington D.C.  The total trip will be about 20,000 miles.  He's averaging 60 miles per day.  King says, "I feel I'm earning the respect of the nation by doing this ride. You know, respect is earned, it's not given to you. And I feel, you know, by doing this ride I can earn the respect of the nation and turn their donations so that we can help do these programs that we have in place."  King's goal is to raise one million dollars.  For details on how to donate go to rememberthewoundedride.com.
