SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) _ More roads are falling victim to spring
flooding in eastern South Dakota.
State Transportation officials say the James River has swamped
about a mile of state Highway 44 east of Parkston. It's the latest
to be closed, joining stretches of state Highways 21 and 28 in
Hamlin County, and state Highway 38 east of Mitchell.
Many other local roads are closed as well. Renner Fire Chief
Mike Schmitz says all roads going east and west between Dell Rapids
and Interstate 90 are closed.
