After wresting the state track team title from the dominant Stevens girls two years ago, the Central girls succumbed once more to the Lady Raiders last season. This year, Coach Dave Dolan and the Red and White set about reclaiming what once was theirs, taking their case to Spearfish for the Green and Gold Indoor Meet. All of the area's Double-A clubs making the trip with Sturgis, Central, Douglas, Spearfish and Stevens.---------- We'll get it rolling at the high jump, Central's Jenna Stephens working on 4-10, clears it though she's a little shocked she made it.---------- Teammate Katrina Mellengaard couples the effort to clear 4-10 as well.----------- Off to the Pole Vault, Central Courtney Randall makes it happen at 9-6.--------- Stevens' Ellen Pustejovsky clears as well.----------To the 60m hurdles, Central's Tessa Gorsuch tops the field in the 2nd heat of action.--------- To the boys and a pair of Spartans rolling to the front, Slade Hanson and Jake Young go one-two in a photo finish.---------- Over to the boys' long jump and Douglas' Andre Hern with an outstanding leap of 21-feet-10-and-a-quarter inches in the championship flight. We hope to have final results for you coming up tonight at nine o'clock.
