| The tsunami triggered by today's big earthquake in Japan is reaching the continental U-S. The West Coast braced for waves to come onshore Friday morning. The surf along the San Francisco Bay is expected to be a few feet higher than normal but shouldn't be a major threat. Tsunami warnings were in effect for Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon and Alaska. The Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA is prepared to help areas affected by the tsunami. AP |
