The "Never Forget" blood drive in Spearfish brought in a record number of blood units Saturday. The blood drive was a memorial for all the victims who lost thier lives during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. United Blood Services says 225 units were collected Saturday, making it the largest community blood drive to take place in Spearfish. It also sets the record for the largest first time blood drive in this region. Units of blood will continue to be collected Monday-Wednesday for the "Never Forget" blood drive. UBS says they plan to make it an annual event and collect and in the years to come, collect a pint of blood for everyone who lost their life on September 11, 2001. Megan Palera
