Accident snarls traffic in Rapid City
Saturday, 11 September 2010 14:14

An accident on Interstate 90 Saturday afternoon created a massive traffic jam in the middle of Rapid City. Police and the Highway Patrol received a call at about 12:30 Saturday afternoon of a car that had rolled over into the median of the Interstate between the Lacrosse Street and Highway 79 exits. Traffic in the eastbound lanes was backed up for over a half mile, including traffic entering the Interstate from the Lacrosse Street on-ramp.

It took about a half hour to get a wrecker in place to remove the car and get traffic moving again. The female driver of the car was taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital with injuries.
