Friday is Worldwide Suicide Prevention Awareness Day and the Front Porch Coalition is taking this opportunity to bring suicide to the attention of the Rapid City Community. Thursday, members of the Coalition met with Frank Campbell,  a consultant counselor on suicide prevention from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.Campbell says people who are under severe stress sometimes consider suicide to end the pain. 

Frank Campbell says, "What we tend to do is talk to people about how we can cope with the stress in their life; how can we reduce the stresses in their life. And they often discover that they have solutions themselves once they find a listening ear."

Doctor Frank Campbell will speak Friday evening at a community awareness event on suicide at the Dahl Arts Center at 6:30 PM.
