HURON, S.D. (AP) _ Early indications from the South Dakota State
Fair suggest that crowds were as large or better than last year.
The 125th edition of the annual event in Huron just completed
its five-day run on Monday.
Fair Manger Jerome Hertel tolk KOKK-AM in Huron that the fair
went well, with great weather on Friday, Saturday and Sunday before
some rain showers crept in on Monday.
Hertel says final attendance figures still need to be
calculated.
Saturday night's Martina McBride concert was the top drawing
grandstand act.
