The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office says a Miles City, Montana man is dead after he reportedly jumped out of a moving vehicle while being transported to jail after being arrested. In a release, the Sheriff's Office says it responded to a call Sunday night at 9:29pm of an individual who jumped out of a moving vehicle while being transported by law enforcement from Orman Dam to the Meade County Jail. 26-year old Daniel Eric Schmitt was taken to Spearfish Regional Hospital, then transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital, where he died from his injuries.Jack Caudill |
