PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A Kadoka nursing home will receive $145,000 to help it improve fire safety.
Gov. Mike Rounds approved the community development block grant.
The sprinkler system upgrade at Kadoka Nursing Home is a federally mandated requirement for long-term care facilities.
Without the upgrade, the home would have to close in 2013.
The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development funds the community development block grant program, and the Governor's
Office of Economic Development administers it. |
