A Colorado man has succumbed to his injuries Saturday after crashing his motorcycle near Pactola Reservoir Friday morning.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Jeffrey Cronholm of Denver, Colorado was traveling north on Highway 385 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the windy road. Cronholm lost control of his bike and slid into a ditch.

He was air lifted to Rapid City Regional Hospital where he later died. The patrol says he was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
