| Students who attend school in Eagle Butte are getting two more days of summer vacation. The start of the school year was moved from Thursday to next week to ensure enough time to complete construction projects at two of the district's buildings. Superintendent Edward Slocum says more cleanup needs to be done following a summer of roof work on one building, and school leaders also want to give a new asphalt layer on a parking lot a few more days to set.
