A group of Rapid City pre-schoolers took part in a special story time at the Rapid City Public Library Tuesday morning. The library hosted the final performance in this summer's Music Teddy Bear series. The series puts famous children's nursery rhymes and stories, like Little Red Riding Hood and the Ugly Duckling, alongside classical music Michael Hill of the Orlando Chamber Soloists says, as a teacher himself, he can see the impact of introducing a child to classical music at a young age. Hill says, "I see the benefits these kids receive firsthand. They think faster, they learn quicker, they are more logical, they are organized, they can think in a more organized and logistical fashion." Hill says the children have loved this unique music series. He says music is something any child can find interest in since they hear it all around them in television and movies.
