Justin joined Black Hills FOX News in 2005 and currently anchors Black Hills FOX News at Nine weekdays and serves as the co–executive producer for the late newscast. He received his B.A. in broadcast journalism from Columbia College Chicago. Born and raised in the suburbs of the Windy City, Justin got his start in the news business at FOX News Chicago as a field producer.In 2005, he jumped at the chance to work for FOX in Rapid City as a general assignment reporter. After covering almost every type of story in the hills, he moved to the anchor desk as the weekend anchor in 2006 and nine months later moved to weekdays.
In 2009, Justin was awarded top honors from the Associated Press for his investigative story on problems a Pennington County housing subdivision was having after homes started to shift on foundations. In 2011, he was nominated for an Emmy for his story Living Homeless. The piece looked at the struggles those less fortunate have when it comes to landing a job and a place to live.
Outside of work, Justin volunteers for Girls Incorporated, a local non–profit organization that serves girls through after school educational programs. He also serves on the board for the local Pioneering Healthier Communities program.
