Short-Term Forecast
A brief warm-up thanks to a day of sunshine was welcome relief from the clouds and cold temps. But it's back to a February reality on Friday as temps will be cut in half as arctic air takes its toll on our thermometers. Light snow primarily over the Black Hills will leave most with under an inch.
Extended Outlook
The sunshine returns on Saturday, but the damage is done. Temps will remain cold for the first half of the weekend but the continued sunshine and retreating arctic air will allow temps to moderate for Sunday and look to improve further for Monday.

Chief Meteorologist Taylor Nicolasien
All the new information that I've been looking at since Tuesday night suggests that our area will enjoy a warmer and drier weekend overall. I am going to revise our temperatures upward to reflect this trend and also reduce the chance of rain. Showers will be possible between Friday night and Saturday night but it doesn't look nearly as damp as it did just a few days ago.
